Toivottavasti tämän talven lumet olisivat vihdoin tässä, sillä on aika juhlia kevään alkua siman ja serpentiinien kera! WSF järjestää 29. huhtikuuta vappujuhlat West of Scotland Cricket Clubilla klo 13.30-16.30.
Luvassa on mölkyn pelaamista, säkkihyppelyä ja muita kilpailuja sekä lapsille kasvomaalausta ja ongintaa pientä maksua vastaan.
Kaikille tarjotaan lasillinen simaa ja karjalanpiirakka tai pulla. Ulkona on myös mahdollisuus grillaamiseen, mikäli haluat ottaa oman kertakäyttögrillin ja eväät mukaan.
Glasgow’n Suomi-koulun kioski myy suomalaisia herkkuja ja Glasgow’n laulu esittää muutaman kappaleen.
Järjestäjät myös kannustavat kaikkia pukeutumaan kirkkaisiin väreihin. Kaikenlainen panostus pukeutumiseen on sallittua ja erityisen suositeltavaa lapsille, sillä parhaiten pukeutunut lapsivieras voittaa palkinnon!
Sisäänpääsy on £3 henkilöltä ja £5 perheeltä. Pyydämme tämän maksun mahdollistaaksemme tarjoilun.

Let’s hope the snow is gone for good as it’s time to celebrate the beginning of spring the Finnish style! On Sunday 29th of April WSF organizes a Vappu celebration at West of Scotland Cricket Club from 1:30 pm til 4:30 pm.
Programme includes mölkky, tattie race and some other games, raffles, face painting and the fishing game “onginta” for children for a small fee.
Everybody gets a glass of mead (sima) and a Karelian pasty or a cinnamon bun. We have a permission to barbeque outdoors should anyone wish to bring a disposable BBQ and picnic lunch along.
Glasgow Finnish School will run a kiosk with Finnish treats. Glasgow’n laulu performs.
Since Vappu is a happy occasion let’s make it one by wearing bright colours on the day, why not even dress up. Children especially might want to dress up fancy as the best dressed youngster will be rewarded with a special prize
The entrance fee is £3 per person or £5 per household. We ask this money only to cover organization costs.
